LAKE
The territory of the Provinces of Lecco and Como fi nds its natural point of contact
in the embrace of Lake Como, which constitutes also its point of force and tourist
attraction.
The area includes all villages that overlook the shores of the lake and offer
different activities concerning natural context and water sports (sailing, boat racing,
wind surfi ng, hang-gliding, water ski, horse riding, diving).
The mild climate favours relaxing stays, while the offer of monumental artistic assets proposes itineraries of
great interest. The Navigation links the different towns and it allows to enjoy the
water landscape: magnifi cent villas surrounded by parks with exotic plants and
enchanting villages overlook the lakesides.
MOUNTAIN
The mountain and valley area includes the territory developing around the lake with
hill and mountain groups, which raise themselves from the plain and preserve lands
and villages, mountains and woods: Valsassina, Valvarrone, Valle San Martino and
Val D’Esino, Val d’Intelvi, Val Menaggio, Val Cavargna, Valassina, Valsolda and the
Alto Lario Occidentale Valleys.
The area has got remarkable natural qualities and a big attractive capacity: here
the context of nature identifi es with man’s interventions, and it is pleasant to walk
along the itineraries of faith or visit the museums about environment. Each season of
the year offers several opportunities for practicing sport activities: ski-touring, crosscountry
skiing, hiking, climbing, paragliding and mountain bike.
HILL-PLAIN
In this area located south of the two provinces there are the lakes of Brianza, surrounded
by undulating grounds and slight slopes. From west Lake Montorfano and Lake Alserio,
Lake Pusiano and Annone, and south of Lecco the river Adda forms Lake Garlate.
The area presents a soft alternation of hills and plain and it is characterized by the
closeness and link easiness to the big axis of communication. This part of the territory
points out a marked vocation for business tourism, favoured by the presence of a lively
entrepreneurial activity.
The stay during a business journey can be enriched by moments
of enhancement of free time: several structures for golf, horse riding, tourism-cycling,
walking in big parks.
The presence of imposing noble villas located in enchanting
landscapes, of sacred buildings, botanical gardens and sites of industrial archaeology
is outstanding from an artistic point of view.
